This Privacy Policy explains how Klout Home LLC ("KloutHome," "we," "us," or "our"), a limited liability company organized in Wyoming, USA, collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit klouthome.com or purchase from us. Klout Home LLC is the data controller of your personal information for the purposes of the EU GDPR, the UK GDPR, and applicable US and Canadian privacy laws.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide: name, billing and shipping address, email address, phone number, and order details when you make a purchase, create an account, contact support, sign up for marketing, or leave a review.

Payment information: Card and payment details are collected and processed directly by our payment processors (e.g., Shopify Payments/Stripe, Shop Pay, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay). We do not store full payment card numbers on our systems.

Information collected automatically: IP address, device and browser type, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, clicks, and other usage data collected through cookies, pixels, tags, and similar technologies, including the Meta (Facebook) Pixel and Meta Conversions API, and analytics tools.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To process, fulfill, and deliver your orders (including DDP customs/shipping) and provide customer support;
  • To process payments and prevent fraud;
  • To send transactional messages (order confirmations, shipping/tracking updates);
  • To send marketing emails/SMS where you have consented or as otherwise permitted by law (you can opt out anytime);
  • To operate, analyze, and improve our website and advertising (including measuring and optimizing ad campaigns); and
  • To comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

Legal bases (EU/UK GDPR): performance of a contract (order processing); consent (marketing, non-essential cookies); legitimate interests (fraud prevention, site security, analytics, improving our services); and legal obligation (tax/records).

3. Third Parties We Share Information With

We share personal information only as needed with the following categories of recipients, each under appropriate contractual safeguards:

  • Shopify — our e-commerce platform and hosting provider (order, account, and store data).
  • Payment processors — Shopify Payments/Stripe, PayPal, Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay (payment data).
  • Our third-party logistics/fulfillment partner and shipping carriers — name, shipping address, contact details, and order contents, to pick, pack, ship, and clear customs for your order. Our fulfillment center is located in China; see "International Data Transfers."
  • Meta Platforms, Inc. (Facebook/Instagram) — via the Meta Pixel and Conversions API, for advertising, retargeting, and conversion measurement.
  • Klaviyo — our email/SMS marketing platform (name, email, phone, purchase and engagement history).
  • Analytics providers — e.g., Google Analytics (usage and device data).
  • Professional advisors and authorities — lawyers, accountants, and government/regulators where required by law, and a successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

We link to each major provider's own privacy policy where available, and we do not sell your personal information for money.

4. Cookies and Tracking

We use strictly necessary cookies (to run the site and checkout), analytics cookies, and advertising/marketing cookies (including the Meta Pixel). Where required by law (e.g., EU/UK), non-essential cookies are set only after you consent via our cookie banner, and you can change your preferences at any time. You can also control cookies through your browser settings.

5. International Data Transfers

We operate from the United States, and our fulfillment partner is located in China; your information may therefore be transferred to and processed in the US, China, and other countries that may not provide the same level of data protection as your home country. Where we transfer personal data out of the EEA or UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK Addendum) or other lawful transfer mechanisms. By placing an order for international delivery, you understand that your shipping and contact details must be shared with our fulfillment partner and carriers to deliver your order.

6. Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described: order and transaction records are retained for up to 7 years to meet tax and accounting obligations; marketing data is retained until you unsubscribe or after a period of inactivity; account data is retained while your account is active. We then delete or anonymize it, unless a longer period is required by law.

7. Your Privacy Rights

EU/EEA & UK (GDPR): rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, objection, and the right to withdraw consent. You may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. We respond within one month.

California (CCPA/CPRA): the right to know, access, delete, and correct personal information; the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (including for cross-context behavioral advertising); the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information; and the right to non-discrimination. We respond within 45 days. Because we use advertising pixels, we treat the use of those technologies as "sharing." To exercise these rights, use our "Your Privacy Choices" / "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" footer link or email support@klouthome.com. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals as a valid opt-out of sale/sharing.

Canada (PIPEDA): the right to access your personal information, challenge its accuracy, and withdraw consent, subject to legal/contractual limits.

To exercise any right, email support@klouthome.com. We may need to verify your identity. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows.

8. Children's Privacy

Our website and products are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact support@klouthome.com and we will delete it.

9. Data Security

We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards (including encryption in transit and reputable processors like Shopify). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date reflects the latest version, and material changes will be posted on this page.
